[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Pivot table feature in reports

I'll try answering my own questions on the pivot table feature in the
Evergreen Reports:

 

Documentation?  No.

 

Table grand totals?  No, one has to do that manually.

 

Pivot table option availability? Only on reports with a count or count
distinct display. Not available with a cash or money report..

Is there any documentation on the pivot table feature in the Evergreen
reports module?  It is promising concept, but in my testing of it, it has
fallen short of my expectation. 

 

To create a report that would generate a basic pivot table, it is logical
that it will have 3 displays items: display to be set as the pivot label
column, display left unset to create the pivot label row, and the count (the
display to generate the pivot data). 

 

Questions: 

What about getting the totals (besides doing it manually)?  

And the pivot table option is only available with selected reports, right?
