Hi Joel, display it where?

I don't think Evergreen mucks with the 001 field normally, but you
could certainly setup a database trigger to modify or insert one as
needed.

Evergreen keeps an internal record id for each bib, which is exposed
in the staff client in a few places as Record ID. It also tracks a
TCN value and TCN source, but does this outside of the MARC record
itself. There is a list of tags in the MARC that Evergreen will look
at when deciding upon an external TCN value, but if that value becomes
"auto-generated", it is not going to be inserted back into the MARC by
default.

When exporting records from Evergreen, the record id, TCN source, and
TCN value is usually written to a 901 or 903 tag with various
subfields, though I forget the specifics.

I don't think anyone has written a connector yet, but you could use
the extras/fast_extract script for producing a periodic dump of bib
records for VuFind to ingest. There are lots of API's that a
connector could use for finding things like item status, etc. Someone
just needs to do the work.

Hope this helps!
