For the first question, yes (see attached screen shot to see some of the
linkages that the record id has to other tables).
 
In regards to active = false -  I believe if the record is deleted, the
active flag gets set to 'false' - some copy related info is still
retained in the database (but also marked in the relevant table with
active =  false). This allows one to undelete a record later on.

Two quick questions:

 

Is biblio.record_entry.id the unique number for a bib record?  I assume
it is, but wanted to double-check.

 

Does a "no" in biblio.record_entry.active mean that there is no item
attached to the bib record?
