We thought using less names would make things a bit easier, because we only have 1 library. It is no problem to do it another way. We were just checking.

While it would be possible to stuff that into the tables and most things might work because internally the system uses the unit numbers instead of the shortname, it would cause no end of chaos as various displays would show information you wouldn't be able to tell apart.

A better question is what sort of problem are you trying to solve that calls for such an unusual solution?  It isn't required to have a three level org chart.  A simple enough installation could just have one entitity.  There are some known issues with the org chart UI that might make you think it can't be done though.
