At least in the EG (heh) dev community, "eg" has 6 years of history and precedent, so I'm strongly in favor of that.
Though if you're trying to use search.twitter.com and its RSS feeds,
the more unique the better. #evergreen and #eg are bad in that
regard. I'd rather have some thing like #yzzyx
