Hi Everyone - I'd like to wish our book writers at great big
congratulations!!
Confession: I work with Robert.
I have seen the first version of the book - it's great. You folks should
be very proud of yourselves. Aside from the fabulousness of having an
actual book about Evergreen (Mohawk will be purchasing a couple at least, I
promise) - this book means so much more. Our college's new academic plan
talks about "openness" in more than one way e.g. instructor created
content. I plan to be waving the Evergreen book around as an example of
what some smart and dedicated folks can do given time and support. I look
forward to being able to support this kind of work in MPOW however and
whenever I can. As a Collections librarian, I confess to being more than a
little tired of signing on the dotted line to purchase big collections of
stuff only some of which we need. Helping with the creation and curation
of such treasures as *Evergreen in Action* is something I very much look
forward to.
Again, Congratulations to Dan, Robert, Kathy, Lindsay and Jim.
Warm Regards,
Cynthia
PS I am wildly jealous of your time on the Google campus!! [?]
