[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] holds thresholds triggering...something else

Hi,

Sorry, that might be the worst subject line in the whole world. I can think
of two use cases, one that's would be more common in a public library and
one that's more of an academic library scenario.

First, is it possible to configure Evergreen to automatically order more
copies of something once a certain number of holds has been reached. For
example, when there are 30 holds on Fifty Shades of Grey, another one is
automatically ordered in the Acquisitions module (or an PO or selection
list is automatically created that a staff member needs to approve/order).

Second, is it possible to configure Evergreen to automatically change the
shelving location to a course reserves shelving location once a certain
threshold of holds has been reached. For example, once more than 5 students
put a hold on a title, it is moved into the course reserves/reserves room
where it will circulate for a shorter period of time and have higher levels
of fines and not be renewable.

I'm pretty certain that these things are not currently possible. I'm
wondering if anyone has set things up to do similar things. We're changing
up our holds policies and I think it would be spiffy if the second scenario
were possible.

Thanks,
Tara
