[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] MARC order import error

Hi Robert,

When I get these errors, I usually find there is a lot more information
in the system logs that can let me know which piece of data is causing
the problem. In addition to what Mary suggested, there have been a
couple of scenarios in which I've encountered similar errors.

1. What is the Context OU that you select when uploading records? Does
it match the owning OU for the copy locations and funds that are
identified in the tags with your copy information? If the Context OU is
a system level OU, but the owner of the copy location or fund is a
branch, you will get an error. There is a fix for the copy location
issue at https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1058306, but it looks
like it hasn't been merged yet.

2. You also want to make sure you don't have any null values in your
subfields. We had a case where a library was uploading order records
with a null value in the notes subfield, you will get the
ACQ_IMPORT_ERROR error. https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/924952

Of course, this is all guess work. Your logs should give you a better
idea of the source of the problem.

Kathy
