Betsy,

That is actually one of the primary use cases for Conjoined Items, or items
that can be attached to more than one bib record.  The ideas is that you
barcode your e-reader and then attach it to each bib that represents a book
you've loaded on the device.  The original documentation is available here:

One caveat: I believe it is currently JSPAC-only.
