[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] E Mail Notification is not working

Hi All,

 We try to activate the e mail notification system in Evergreen server. We
have created an e mail id. This entry is made in the opensrf.config
file.The mail notifiations are not being sent by the system.  But receive
back the following lines in the newly created e mail id

/home/opensrf/.bashrc: 13: shopt: not found
/home/opensrf/.bashrc: 21: shopt: not found
/home/opensrf/.bashrc: 99: shopt: not found
/etc/bash_completion: 33: [[: not found
/etc/bash_completion: 39: [[: not found
/etc/bash_completion: 52: Bad substitution
