[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Computer management system integration

Hi David,

I haven't heard of any of those, but generally speaking the most common
way I've seen third-party applications communicate with Evergreen (or
other ILS) would be through SIP2. So I would find out what sort of
authentication mechanisms those tools use and whether they can support
SIP2 authentication; or other authentication could be an option with
newer versions of Evergreen. And then as far as whether they could
perform more tasks, like looking up good/bad patrons, blocks, etc. it
depends on how they implemented SIP2 compatibility.

Others might have more insight in this area, maybe they'll chime in.
For ourselves, I think our libraries are using a mix of LibraryMetricks,
Envisionware's PC Reservation, and maybe some other product (don't
recall off the top of my head now...)
