[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Site considering Ever Green

Hi Brian,

It depends. I work with three consortia who all handled their own
migrations. It did take quite a bit of time to work out all of the
details of the migration. There were several practice runs before the
actual migrations and, during each run, they found a new data issue to
resolve before the next run. However, there is documentation to help
http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.4/_migrating_patron_data.html and
http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.4/_migrating_from_a_legacy_system.html
and a community of people who can answer your questions.

However, you might also want to consider using a vendor to assist in
your migration. This assistance is available if your are hosting your
own system or you could choose to have the vendor host the system. There
is a list of Evergreen support providers (not exhaustive) available at
http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=faqs:evergreen_companies.
