[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] separating tabs in staff client

I know about using multiple windows, but that requires planning ahead! :) I typically desire this function after realizing I have too many things open and I need to spread them out. (Partly this is because I now have two wide-screen monitors, so I'm becoming a screen snob. I need to fill ALL THE SPACE!)
I suppose with the browser client I can copy/paste the url from one tab into another window (right?). But copy/pasting isn't fool-proof. The slickest/safest way would be to "simply" (describing the action, not the work to create it!) drag a tab away.

If you hit 'Ctrl + N' in the Staff Client, it will open a new window for you. Also, on the login window (usually pushed behind the main EG window), there's a button to click to 'Open a new window.'
I agree that being able to use them the same way I use Chrome tabs would be AWESOME, though!
I can't say about the browser staff client, though. Sorry.

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] separating tabs in staff client
Yesterday I had the desire to view 2 or 3 tabbed pages in the staff client at one time. I tried to pull the tabs apart, as I often do in Chrome or Firefox, so they were in their own windows - thus viewable at the same time. But sadly they wouldn't budge.
Will the new browser staff client be able to function this way, with tabs acting more like individual web pages? Or will they be stuck within one "window" as they are now?
I appreciate being able to shuffle the order of tabs currently, but the added flexibility to create separate windows would be awesome.
Since I have no knowledge of the development requirements for this, I'm just throwing the idea out there. It may be extremely difficult, or impossible, or just scary. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
