The first packaged release of Evergreen 2.6, alpha1, is now available for download and testing.

We are still early in the release process, so these downloads are offered primarily as a convenience to would-be testers, and also as an opportunity to continue to refine the release process itself.

I hope to send out a more complete update on the progress made in alpha1 within the next day or two.
