Lise,
I would need to see what you tried that didn't work to provide specific guidance,
but I can provide an example from a template I recently created for one of our
libraries. The request was for a list of items by genre heading (655$a). Here are
the paths I took to create the report:
-----begin template description-----
Uses Item Source.
Displayed Fields:
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Owning Library -> Short (Policy) Name as "Owning Library"
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Call Number Label
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts -> Title Proper (normalized) as "Title"
Item -> Barcode
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Flattened MARC Fields -> Normalized Value as "Tag 655a"
Base Filters:
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Owning Library -> Organizational Unit ID (In list)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Flattened MARC Fields -> Normalized Value (Lower case) (In list)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Flattened MARC Fields -> Tag (Equals) ("655")
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Flattened MARC Fields -> Subfield (Equals) ("a")
Item -> Is Deleted (Equals) (False)
USAGE: Enter the item owning library(ies) and one or more Genre entries.
-----end template description-----
This example hard-codes the tag and subfield since the request was very specific, but you
could potentially create the template so that those are entered when creating the report definition.
If you share what you've tried (specifically the generated SQL from the debugging info), I
may be able to assist you in what you're trying to do.
Chris
