Hi,
The election for two positions on the Evergreen Oversight
Board will start at 0:01 UTC on 13 March 2014. If you
registered to vote, later today you will receive an email
from <elections at sfconservancy.org> containing a "vote token"
and the URL of the election.
When the election starts, please use your email address
and vote token to log in.
The next step will be to choose the candidates to vote for.
You can vote for as many or as few candidates you want to
by clicking on their names in the left column. The first
person you click will be your top choice, the second person
you click will be your second choice, and so forth. If you
want to remove a name or adjust the order of your
preferences, you can click on in the right column.
Voting will be counted using the Scottish STV (Single
Transferable Vote) algorithm. [1]
After you make your choices, you can proceed to the next
step, which is confirming your choices. After you do this,
the next page will give you an "anonymous token", which you
can use at any time to verify your vote.
Please note that the voting system does not keep a link
between the voter and the vote; once you cast your ballot,
the anonymous token is the only way for your to verify your
vote.
The election will end at noon EDT on Wednesday, 19 March
2014, at which time the results will be tabulated by
Conservancy and the results posted on the voting website
for all to see.
