Hi,

Various online services of the Library of Congress will be down for
maintenance this weekend, including:

- catalog.loc.gov
- id.loc.gov
- the LC Z39.50 server

>From their announcement (http://z3950.loc.gov/vwebv/ui/en_US/htdocs/help/):

Library of Congress online catalogs and collections search systems
will NOT be available from 5:00pm on Friday, August 28 until 6:00am on
Monday, August 31 due to a planned power outage for essential
maintenance.
