Thanks, Thomas! Every time I change the printer settings it seems something crazy happens (like all receipts print a foot longer than needed, or the text shrinks to half sized). But I'm feeling brave today so I'll mess with it.

To accomplish the background color printing in Evergreen:
When setting up the printer, select "Page Settings" and check the "Print Background (colors & images)" checkbox.
That should do it. It isn't a printer option so much as a "what application is printing" option.
