[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] (seeking MassLNCer) receipt item sorting

I'm reading this awesome MassLNC Wiki (http://masslnc.org/node/2528) trying to figure out how to order our receipt items by due date (upcoming due dates at the top). I think if I just have an example of what this string should look like, I'll get it. Right now I'm stuck with what all I need to replace in this:

%SORT(field[ AS type][ ASC| DESC][,...])%

Any MassLNCer or other receipt wizard out there who could help with this puzzle? Thanks!
