[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Site Selection for the Evergreen Conference 2017 - Announcement

Great news!
The Evergreen 2017 Conference Site Selection Committee has chosen the site for
our next conference.

The Evergreen International Conference for 2017 will be in beautiful
Covington, Kentucky!

As befits the consortial nature of the Evergreen software, this conference
will be co-hosted by:
Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky
Asbury University, Kentucky
Consortium of Ohio Libraries
Evergreen Indiana
Kenton County Public Library, Kentucky

While Covington itself is not tremendously large, its city center is part
of a downtown core that spreads across 3 cities in two states. The effect
of this is that the Cincinnati-Covington-Newport area has the amenities of
a large metro area while maintaining the charm, comfort, and hospitality of
the smaller cities that makeup the region.  The proposal outlined a
beautiful and reasonably priced conference venue, comprehensive public
transportation, diverse eateries, arts and entertainment, and, naturally,
distillery tours.

Congratulations to the Covington co-hosting group!  The Covington Five?  :)
