[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Android app and 856 links, any shortcuts?

The good news: the Android app (Hemlock)
<https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kenstir.apps.hemlock> now
displays 856 links to electronic resources in search results.

The bad news: the link only mostly gets you sort of close to checking out
an E-book. For the links I've tested, there are still many steps between
that link and reading the e-book, and success is not guaranteed.

Has anyone found any shortcuts to make the checkout process less
cumbersome? For instance, if the app knew the library card number a
priori, could I construct a URL that lands closer to checkout? Or login to
the catalog before following the resource link?

For the curious, here is the epic tale of one e-book checkout. Anyway to
make it a short story?

1. Search in CW/MARS for "baer" E-book in Marlborough Public Library.
2. Choose The Perfect Kill: 21 Laws for Assassins
3. Choose Online Access (

4. This page suggests I download the axis 360 app. I already have the
app. Press the triple-equals sign, choose "Axis360 Main Site".
5. Zoom in, choose Marlborough Public Library. Choose Select Library.
6. Popup suggest I download the app. I already have the app.
7. Fiddle long enough and you see the "magic wall" but the title is lost.
8. Give up on that book.

9. Back in Hemlock, Choose Kill Switch.
10. Choose Online Access (

).
11. Dismiss all the popups and choose Borrow.
12. Find my library card. Type in the number.
13. Choose Download epub book.
14. Choose Open with OverDrive.

Success!
