In 3.14, it is not possible to overlay a record via Z39.50.  No matter what merge profile you pick Evergreen is merging using the existing record that has been marked for overlay as the lead record, instead of the incoming record that should be overlaying.

 

Our workaround is to import the desired record via Z39.50 and then merge the two records using records buckets. (Works, but adds a significant number of steps.)

Hi everyone,

 

Just sharing a couple cataloguing-related bugs for Evergreen 3.14 that I think could use a little more heat:

 

1. Bib merging from record buckets no longer takes you to final lead record after clicking "merge": https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/2098712
2. Angular record buckets missing important bib information: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/2095021
3. Add to bucket modal doesn’t display shared buckets: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/2083859
4. Inline catalog search in 3.14 does not function well: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/2095113 (I’m missing the record query function in buckets!)
