Aspen for Evergreen Users Meeting Notes and Upcoming Schedule

Hi all, The Aspen for Evergreen Users meeting notes from May 1st <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fayGtLyvLIDg2RFltn2dHRvsSJzEIjXz-fz1V7k…> are available. The group discussed our new meeting cadence. We will be meeting bimonthly on the first Thursday of the month at 12pm EST/9am PT, but, we will be moving to the even months, in order to limit conflicts with holidays. As such, our next group meeting will be *Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 12pm EST/9am PT*. The Evergreen Community Calendar <https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=calendar:start> and the Aspen Community Calendar <https://community.aspendiscovery.org/> have been updated to reflect our new meeting schedule. The Aspen for Evergreen Users group is a group of libraries who are either using, or are interested in using, the Aspen Discovery Layer with the Evergreen ILS. All are welcome! Hosting Opportunity Open for 2025 Hack-A-Way

The Evergreen Project is opening submissions for hosting the 2025 Hack-A-Way. The Hack-A-Way is an important milestone in the annual calendar for the Evergreen contributor community, especially documentors and developers. Hosting requirements: * A clean meeting space for 15 - 30 people. * Working space for laptops. * A TV, projector or other display and video conferencing for using the Evergreen community videoconferencing services for scheduled events. * Adequate bandwidth for the users * A few snacks and forms of hydration and caffeine * Facilitate reasonable hotel accommodations (cheaper is better but no bed bugs) * Although not required it's become tradition for the host to supply lunches This is a great opportunity for institutions to contribute in hosting that is smaller than the annual conference. The event will be scheduled with the host but takes place in the fourth quarter of the year, usually in late October or early November. Hi, Five members have been elected to the Evergreen Project board during this year's elections: *Three-year term* - Andrea Buntz Neiman, Equinox - Courtney Brown, Evergreen Indiana - Eli Neiburger, Ann Arbor District Library *One-year term* - Donna Bacon, MOBIUS - Michael Schell, Fort Erie Public Library My thanks to everybody who ran for a seat. Missouri Evergreen mentioned in May's American Libraries

American Libraries' May edition <https://americanlibrariesmagazine.org/2025/05/01/2025-library-systems-repor…> features a report on library systems by Marshall Breeding. In the Open Source section, Equinox is featured, and Missouri Evergreen was the only consortium named in that section! While it was just a mention, it was still fun to see!
