Self Checkout Kiosk Issues- continued

We've made some progress. I've been able to verify permissions against other libraries, as well as the contents of our oils_sip.xml [Thank you!]. We found an error in our opensrf.xml that was pointing to the replicated server resulting in read-only errors. We've installed bad bot blocker which so far seems to be helping with overall bot traffic leading to better stability. I'm working on extracting bot addresses from the apache logs for inclusion in the blacklist. Bibliotheca says the self checkout machines are still having issues. The machines connect fine to SIP2. They can access all the patron information, but cannot check an item out. They're not getting a packet 12 - or checkout response. Is there any place within Evergreen or on our servers that I should be looking at which would allow that or allow me configure it or is it on their side? As far as I know, this all worked prior to the upgrade to 3.13.9 from 3.7. Thanks -Jon

Who is using Soft Boundaries?

I'd like to hear from any consortia who have implemented the Soft Boundary setting and what your experiences have been. As we've been considering it, we've had a lot of questions about book clubs, as our library systems request copies from other systems to get enough copies. We know that they could place item-level holds on other system copies to get them with soft boundaries in place, but we are wondering if anyone else has come up with better solutions. Thank you! Issue Connecting Evergreen ILS via Evergreen Driver

Hi All! I'm currently attempting to connect our Evergreen ILS as the backend for our OPAC discovery layer using the Evergreen Driver. However, I'm encountering connection issues and the system fails to establish a proper link with the database. Here are the steps I've taken so far: 1. Filled in the database credentials (hostname, port, database name, username, password) correctly in the configuration file. 2. Verified that the PostgreSQL server is reachable from the application server. 3. Despite this, the connector doesn't seem to work, and the discovery platform cannot communicate with Evergreen. As a temporary workaround, I'm currently ingesting MARC records manually into the discovery layer, but I’d prefer to enable direct connectivity for real-time integration. Is there a recommended way to troubleshoot this connection? Any logs I should look into or settings that are commonly missed? Thanks in advance for your support!

Hello Everyone, A colleague of mine is working on creating a presentation for our Users Group on the various ways Evergreen libraries are using print/receipt templates to promote library services. We have examples of event promotion, and the 'you saved' templates, but we were curious if anyone is doing something different or has something they'd like to share that they feel is really fun and innovative.
