Concerto record fixed fields are missing spaces

Hello all, It looks like a lot of Concerto records are missing spaces in their 008 fields which throws off their fixed field data. I noticed this while testing out a fixed field bug today, and I see it on both the Mobius and Equinox bug squashing servers. Hemlock App

Good afternoon everyone, We recently received a request from one of our member libraries to add our consortium, NC Cardinal, to the Hemlock library catalog app. First I must admit I had never even heard of this app until we received this request, and I have no experience with it myself. According to the library that made this request, patrons were previously able to use the app, but now specific consortia have to be listed in a dropdown menu in the app, and NC Cardinal is not currently included in that list. I have tried to look into what adding our consortium to the app would actually entail, but I am not finding much. One of our concerns is the potential cost, if any, associated with doing this. Do other consortia use this app? If so, what has your experience been with it? How did you add your consortium to the app? Is it subscription based, a one time fee, or free? Any information you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. William C. TEP Board Thursday July 17

The Evergreen Project Board will meet next Thursday, July 17th at 2pm ET / 11am PT on Zoom. Board meetings are open to all members of the community. At this meeting the Board will be voting on significant changes to the bylaws of The Evergreen Project, which will change the project by establishing a membership model for both institutional and individual members. There will be options for both paid and contribution-based memberships. This model will be rolling out officially in 2026, with a soft launch planned for the end of 2025. Bug Squashing Week Starts Today!

Hi everyone! Welcome to Bug Squashing Week! We have several test servers up and running with proposed fixes and features applied and ready to test. Here is the testing spreadsheet that shows the test server URLs. Hi all, The Evergreen Collaborative Development Initiative <https://evergreencdi.org/mission-and-vision> (ECDI), a Massachusetts-based project supporting a community of consortia and libraries working cooperatively to identify, fund, and assist in the implementation of key development projects for the Evergreen Integrated Library System <https://evergreen-ils.org/>, is seeking a new Program Director. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with the potential to grow to more hours. The selected candidate will be employed by the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE), the fiscal sponsor for ECDI. The Program Director serves as the primary administrator and support specialist for ECDI. This position is responsible for working with the ECDI Development Committee to select development projects and with the ECDI Oversight Committee to ensure smooth overall operations of the project. Self Checkout Kiosk Issues- continued

We've made some progress. I've been able to verify permissions against other libraries, as well as the contents of our oils_sip.xml [Thank you!]. We found an error in our opensrf.xml that was pointing to the replicated server resulting in read-only errors. We've installed bad bot blocker which so far seems to be helping with overall bot traffic leading to better stability. I'm working on extracting bot addresses from the apache logs for inclusion in the blacklist. Bibliotheca says the self checkout machines are still having issues. The machines connect fine to SIP2. They can access all the patron information, but cannot check an item out. They're not getting a packet 12 - or checkout response. Is there any place within Evergreen or on our servers that I should be looking at which would allow that or allow me configure it or is it on their side? As far as I know, this all worked prior to the upgrade to 3.13.9 from 3.7. Thanks -Jon

Has anyone implemented captchas on Evergreen for helping curtail bot traffic? I’ve been actively blocking the IP ranges of bots as they come in but it’s hard to keep up since they just keep switching IPs. We’ve updated nginx and apache2 to the latest versions as well. -Jon

Best Way To Report Issues with Angular (Experimental) Circ

Hi everyone, I've been poking at experimental circ on our test server and I'm wondering what the best way to report issues is at this point. I found the Angular Patron Interface testing spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PL04fcjom0l2xuum_Do-w04asn-ifAEHwuB… - https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1995399) I have a number of issues to report around the patron notes tab (previously patron messages tab) but I don't want to clear the existing content for patron notes/messages on the Tasks to Test tab on the spreadsheet and I'm not able to add new rows. Anyone have thoughts on the best way to report new issues with experimental circ? Add them to the Other Testing Feedback tab on the spreadsheet, report them to launchpad with the angular-circ tag, another option all together?
