Hi John,

That solved it!  I looked through all the print and hold related library settings but didn’t come across that one.

Thank you!

Jennifer

Hi, Jennifer:

This definitely sounds like a library setting.

I was searching the list of library settings and found "Suppress popup-dialogs during check-in.". Is the setting set for the library?

I haven't tested it, but it sounds like it could be a culprit.

Hi Susan,

I can replicate this on my computer which doesn’t have Hatch installed.  I can log into this library and not have the hold slip pop up appear and then log into another library on the same server/browser window and have the hold slip pop up appear.  Same thing happens in both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi Jennifer,

Do they use Hatch? Or, maybe there's something up with their stored preferences? Does it happen in Firefox, too? We saw a lot of weird, inconsistent behavior with workstations, printing, etc., once we upgraded to 3.14, and clearing cache resolved the majority of them, but if it's also happening in 3.11, it may be an issue with their local browser settings.

Is it one of these? If the auto print is off then the preview screen will appear before printing :)

Hi everyone,

We have one library where the hold and transit slips are not appearing when items are checked in, instead it’s going straight to the print preview in Chrome.  We’ve tested and it’s happening for this library in both 3.11 and 3.14.

I think we must have adjusted something for the library in the past but we haven’t been able to figure out what.

So far we have ruled out pop-ups being blocked, check in modifiers, Shelving Locations - Hold Capture Requires Verification or Checkin Alert, Auto-Print Settings (Admin -> Local Admin -> Auto-Print Settings), and the library setting “Disable Automatic Print Attempt Type List”.

Anyone have any ideas of other things to check?

Thanks,

Jennifer
