Hello, Has anyone explored printing library cards in house? We are looking into building access control system and were looking at the idea of printing combination name-tags/access badges. And the vendor mentioned that they also have basic "Non technology" stock for the same printers that might work for library cards. Which started us thinking about the various possibilities that might open up. - Easy to create small batches of custom designed / limited edition cards. - Ability to replace cards with the same barcode. - Include patron name on the card itself. - Patron type specific card designs. We are currently looking at HID Fargo Direct-to-Card printers. And the blank stock isn't all that expensive at $.20 a card. I don't know how the software works to know if batch printing a few hundred cards based off of exported data is easy to do. I'm just curious if anyone else has looked into this?
