Hello all, It looks like a lot of Concerto records are missing spaces in their 008 fields which throws off their fixed field data. I noticed this while testing out a fixed field bug today, and I see it on both the Mobius and Equinox bug squashing servers. Note how the "ita" language code for Italian slipped into the Cont field on this record. https://bugsquash.mobiusconsortium.org/eg2/en-US/staff/catalog/record/1 https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg2/en-US/staff/catalog/record/1/ This first line is the 008 in the record, the second line is the 008 with pound signs in place of missing spaces to demonstrate. 970701s1989 it a u000 0 ita u 970701s1989 ###it a ##u######000 0 ita u You'll find many parallel examples if you search both servers for the same records: https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/eg2/en-US/staff/catalog/search?org=1&limit... https://bugsquash.mobiusconsortium.org/eg2/en-US/staff/catalog/search?org=1&... Both servers also have records with correctly spaced 008 fields, too, usually DVDs for mainstream movies. That's why I suspect something's wrong with the dataset. -- Chris Amorosi Bibliographic Services Supervisor NOBLE: North of Boston Library Exchange Danvers, MA 978-777-8844 x208 www.noblenet.org
