I am self-taught and not a techie but I have a lot of fun messing around with the reporting system. For our monthly deleted we use an internal template that was created in 2012 which uses a filter "is deleted = true" and a filter to select the "item --> last edit date/time" with field transform Year + Month so that we can find which items were deleted in a given month.
Display fields (core source = Item):
Circulation Modifier
Title
Author
Call Number Label
Item Barcode
Deletion Date (this is the column label but my guess is the field is last edit date/time)
Filters:
Item/Circulating Library/circ_lib/org_unit/In list/Raw Data
Item/Is Deleted/deleted/bool/Equals/Raw Data/t
Item/Last Edit Date/Time/edit_date/timestamp/In list/Year + Month
I have found that rebuilding old templates from scratch is sometimes impossible because fields have changed or been removed or renamed. If you want a clone of the template, email me and I will share the folder that it is in.

Subject: Question about database fields
Hey all,New here. Feeling a little overwhelmed with the reporting side of things. At the moment I'm trying to run a report to see how many items were deleted from our catalog each month. I tried using "Last Edit Date/Time" field, but that doesn't seem to work. I saw in some of the documentation that there's a "Delete Date/Time" field, but I can't find in! Any suggestions for where to look for this field? Additionally, is there any document that talks about ALL of the fields, what they mean and where to find them?Thanks,Tessa--------------------------------Tessa Johnson (she/her)Collection Development & Systems ManagerHowe Library
