Thanks for rounding up two excellent choices, Shauna.

I like the sound of Jono Bacon - I love the topic - how to grow a community.
Also, Ben Shum here at Bibliomation has good things to say about Jono in his
role as Ubuntu Community Manager.

Subject: [Eg-oversight-board] Keynote speakers

Hello everyone,

After contacting speakers suggested by the oversight board (and many more
besides), we have two keynote speakers that are available and interested:
Peter Morville and Jono Bacon! I have included their information in the
attached excel spreadsheet and would like to hear feedback from the
oversight board on both candidates.

In my opinion, both candidates are excellent potential keynote speakers. I
will say that my preference would be towards Peter Morville whose work I
have admired since I read his information architecture book in grad school.
On the other hand, Morville is substantially more expensive than Jono and it
sounds like Jono would be a great catch, having recently been a keynote
speaker at Open Source Convention in Portland, Oregon on July 27, 2011.

Sorry for the short notice, but if everyone could get me feedback by Friday,
December 9, that would be great. With the upcoming holidays and the new year
approaching, I'd like to be able to make a decision about this soon!

Thanks in advance!
