[Eg-oversight-board] Oversight Board Discussion List - Decision Needed

 I just joined the mailman developers mailing list as well in hope of learning more about how we can implement more automatic ways of scrubbing the mailing list clean of spammers. 
There are spammers who are smart enough to make it past mailman's stock email validation scheme I'm sure. 
That said, we don't seem to have too many problems on our lists, perhaps they are too specialized for most coupon pushers?
I'm sure Chris and Galen are way ahead of me technically on this point but more eyes is always good.

I would like to request that we implement an email verification process to assist with this rather than rely on Chris or others to discern.
