[Eg-oversight-board] Call for agenda items

A summary of my points for discussion:

(I will attempt to be concise.)

* Would the FSC act as an agent in applying for grants? I know that they have applied for and gotten grants from the Mozilla Foundation for the FSC itself but I don't know if they have for any of their hosted projects. In general what their feedback on this?

* Do we need to build up a "war chest" for applying for grants to supply matching funds and the like? If so how do we do this? Someone at the conference brought up the idea of selling "memberships" to interested entities as marks of recognition or expanding merchandise sells. This is where we would have to become creative.

* How do we identify what we would push for development? We've talked about this a few times and the last time I think consensus was strong that we could use an idea torrent like site. I am prepared to seed such a thing with several ideas. I'm personally fond of building on top of the IMLS grant that was awarded to GA a couple of years ago for loblolly. Some good information came out of that which could be used to address homebound users and enable Evergreen to handle talking book services needs (which I think would be very attractive to IMLS). Quite a bit could be bundled into this for populations that are attractive to grant giving entities. The fact that we're building on top of a large IMLS grant should also be attractive since we're leveraging that. In the process of developing these big needs we can also address related QA needs.

* Who is interested in taking up parts of this project? To me the first step is to talk to the FSC and have a dialogue. Beyond that we would need people to identify grant opportunities, identify development scope, write the grants, administration of grants, spokes entity to community, etc....
