Hi all,

EG2013 Conference Report for our meeting tomorrow:

-Conference website, with full program is here: http://eg2013.evergreen-ils.org/

-157 Attendees registered as of this morning (77% of original target)

-88 guest rooms booked (348 of 350 Room Block Commitment); Priceline, Hotwire, Expedia and others are still showing reasonable availability for nearby hotels.

-Dotting i's / crossing t's on the modified venue event plan; this document will flow to Tony @ SFC for signature ASAP - likely within a week.

-Budget projection summary attached. As indicated previously, registrations are not quite where initially anticipated, though we have compensated with 24% in previously unprojected sponsorships on the revenue side, and with 13% in previously unprojected savings on the expenditure side. We are now projecting $3K in the black overall, and this figure *does not* include tax rebates for which SFC will be eligible (see next bullet).

-The Province of BC is undergoing a tax regime change effective 01 April, 2013. We are awaiting definitive advice from the tax man WRT specific rebate eligibility, but are expecting 100% rebate on the Federal Goods & Services Taxes (GST) applying to AV Costs & Facility Rentals, and 50% rebate on the GST applying to catering. If our expectations are met, we are estimating rebate value in the range of $1K to $2K, putting us further into the black.

Until tomorrow.
Cheers,
Ben
