We might need to tread a bit cautiously, however, at least in terms of
making a formal EOB practice of this, as it would offer a commercial
benefit to the keynote speaker. Accepting suggestions is one thing; given
the impression that the website will always advertise a keynoter's books is
another.

I think the main considerations for picking books to highlight should be
whether the book would be useful for a user of or contributor to Evergreen,
keeping in mind that that can cover a wide variety of topics in general
technology, library technology in particular, and library administration
(for example, does anybody know of a really good book on logistics that
would be useful to somebody setting up statewide materials delivery for the
first time?).

Of course, most of the time -- but not always! -- a keynote speaker's books
are likely to meet that criterion.

Regards,

Galen
