[Eg-oversight-board] DIG would like to pull "Evergreen in Action" eBook from lulu.com

Hello,

At last week's DIG meeting it was suggested that DIG should remove the
ability of purchasing the book created by DIG members called
"Evergreen In Action: So You've Installed Evergreen 2.3 -- Now
What?"[1] from the eCommerce site lulu.com[2]

The main reasons to remove the book from lulu.com is that the book is
geared for version 2.3 of EG, and that from lulu.com the book costs
$25. DIG would hate to see someone pay $25 dollars for a EG community
book that is currently outdated. Conveniently, this book can still be
downloaded for free from a different site in multiple formats (HTML,
PDF, ePUB)[3].

I wanted to give a heads up to the board about this decision from DIG
since the board had originally approved that the funds raised from the
sales from lulu.com would go to our community fund.

For the record, DIG still needs to decide what to do with this book.
Some of the ideas considered is to make sure to move and update all of
the great content of this book into the main documentation or to keep
the content separate. Though update it to the latest EG version.

Let me know if there are any questions or concerns,
Yamil
