[Eg-oversight-board] Officer Elections next week

Hi everyone,
As the EOB elections wind down this week (I just sent a reminder to the few
people who registered but haven't voted yet), we need to look ahead to
officer elections.

There is nothing specific in the governance rules regarding how officers
must be nominated and elected. Unless I hear an objection, I'd like to
proceed with nominations and voting next week.

Tentatively, I'd like to propose nominations for Chair on Monday with
voting Tuesday. Nominations for Vice-Chair will be Tuesday with voting
Wednesday, and nominations for Secretary will be Wednesday with voting on
Thursday. This will require the EOB to be available to check email several
times per day Monday-Thursday next week. Will this be problematic for
anyone?

The section on the representative to the SFC is, frankly, a little vague. (See
section 2.5b <https://evergreen-ils.org/governance/>) It just says, "One
Board member shall be the official representative to the Fiscal Sponsor."
The position is not included with the officer structure - it is, however,
something that the SFC requires, one official point of contact for our
project. In the past the role has been assigned to officers and
non-officers pretty much equally. But since this is not an officer
position in and of itself, I believe we can wait and assign/elect the rep
at the Evergreen conference meeting. Thoughts?

For the record I had planned to use OpaVote for our vote recording for the
officer elections unless I hear any objections...

Thanks everyone!
Grace
