[Eg-oversight-board] EOB Nomination - Ron Gagnon

I would like to nominate Ron Gagnon, executive director of the North of 
Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE), to serve on the Evergreen Oversight Board.

Ron has worked with Evergreen since 2009, when his consortium first 
voted to adopt the ILS, fully migrating to Evergreen in May 2012. During 
that time, Ron has encouraged NOBLE staff to dedicate time to the 
community through participation in Bug Squashing Days, making conference 
presentations, contributing code, and generally being available to help 
with support questions posted to the mailing list and IRC. In looking 
for innovative ways to maximize resources around Evergreen development 
and expertise sharing,  he is also one of the original founders of MassLNC.

In particular, he has advocated for efforts to make Evergreen more 
visible in the larger library community. He was the inspiration for the 
idea to bring an Evergreen booth to conference exhibit halls and is a 
member of the Evergreen Outreach Committee. He has also spoken about 
Evergreen and open-source software at library conferences, most recently 
as a panelist for the Open Source: View from the Top session at ALA in 
San Francisco last year.

Ron is dedicated to the continued success of Evergreen and would be a 
valuable asset to the Oversight Board.
