[Evergreen-catalogers] Importing Bib Records/Authorities through MARC Batch Import/Export: File type question (.db, .dat?)

What's the best way to import the .db files from Connexion Client to Evergreen? Does anyone have documentation on this? I'm having some issues with the MarcEdit program (5.9) and getting it to save the .db as .mrc, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

Hi Alex,
With files in general it doesn't matter what the extension is really, it's all about what's in it. Those .db files from Connexion really are database files. Aside from reading them in Connexion you can also use MarcEdit (I believe) to open them up and get the records. Evergreen, as you've found will not read and import from them.
Evergreen at the very least supports marc and marcxml for import. Doesn't matter what the files are called, or even what the extension is (.mrc, .dat, .xml, .wooh etc.), so long as you really have marc records in a compatible format in the file.

Do bibliographic records or authority records being imported into Evergreen with the MARC Batch Import/Export need to be a certain file type?
Using both 2.3.3 and 2.3.5 I've noticed that if I use a .db (Data Base File, from OCLC Connex) that the records in that file do not seem to get imported. A screenshot:
Then I click Upload, and it quickly takes me to the next screen, where it's clear (I think...) nothing has been imported:
Is this a bug? Is Evergreen not able to import .db files from OCLC Connexion? Has anyone else run into this? Am I doing something wrong here, maybe in how I'm exporting from OCLC Connexion?
Importing works fine when I use the .dat files:
I've also attached both .dat files and .db files to the email, if you get a chance to test them please let me know!
Thanks!
