[Evergreen-catalogers] Terminology in Cataloging

You can set in defaults in the web client whether to always display the
holdings template or not. I have my defaults set not to open them and then
click on Show holdings details to see the call number editor if I do need
to see it after I chose Edit items.

I do see these as separate functions, which is why I set my default not to
see call number editor all the time.

I would prefer that there be no way to edit holdings or items from the
check in screen at all. Those are cataloging function and shouldn't be
there. I obviously lost that argument a long time ago.

Since you can set that default or click on the Show Holdings details
button, I don't see the need to add more editing options in item bucket
actions menu. Typically, when I am working in an item bucket, I am not
changing call numbers since I generally am working across bib records and
are changing item attributes such as circ mods or shelving locations.

(you could edit multiple items across bib records in the XUL client from an
item bucket without opening individual records. I think the same was try of
item status. That was a bug that was fixed at some point)
