[Evergreen-catalogers] bibliographic record notes

Hi Mary,
The bib record notes outside of MARC are used on the server side during
migration projects or data projects. By making them visible through the
Staff UI, it just provides more transparency for this kind of notation.
Also, I like that they are not visible to the patron (like marc 500 tags)
so you can add a helpful note to a bib record just for staff -- for
example, "This record is used for all annual editions of the
cross-reference directory; please do not create a new one" or "Monograph
parts are required on this record"
Also, I believe they can be used in reports so they could work like a stat
cat for bib records with a little consortial coordination as needed. I want
to check on that report suggestion, though. I'll let you know what I
discover.
I would be curious to see if anyone else has creative ideas for using bib
record notes.
