[Evergreen-catalogers] FW: Spine Labels

Hi Brandi,

We use DYMO 550 Turbo's and have to use their proprietary labels.  We cover our labels with CV label protectors. We have found that adding a thin layer of matte mod podge with a q-tip to the label before adding the label protector helps minimize the fading.  Its not foolproof, as they still fade, but we aren't seeing as many come through needing replacements.

Ok, I am in the process of looking for a spine label printer. We, right now, use avery labels in our laser printer. This is causing smearing and such on other printed items. I have been asked to not print on partial sheets to keep this from happening. I purchased a DYMO printer but the labels on them fade very fast as we cover them with label protectors.



Looking for other solutions.
