Good morning, everyone!

The first Evergreen Community Feedback Fest of 2021 starts today and runs
through Friday. We have several test servers up and running with the newest
version of the software and loaded with multiple bug fixes and features
that are ready to test:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XeRK2oTIIu5pu7iy2ceWbE1ZRBgz9X2W1YC_E6QNexg/edit?usp=sharing

The first tab of the spreadsheet lists the servers and which fixes/features
are loaded onto them. Use the Launchpad link to read more about the bug and
the fix, and to leave your testing feedback.

More information below. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Terran

Hi everyone!

The next Evergreen community Feedback Fest will take place next week from
February 8-12.

*Goal for Core Committers:* Review and commit the ~60 pullrequests that
have already been end-user-tested and signed off
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/?field.searchtext=&search=Search&field.status%3Alist=NEW&field.status%3Alist=CONFIRMED&field.status%3Alist=TRIAGED&field.status%3Alist=INPROGRESS&field.status%3Alist=INCOMPLETE_WITH_RESPONSE&field.status%3Alist=INCOMPLETE_WITHOUT_RESPONSE&assignee_option=any&field.assignee=&field.bug_reporter=&field.bug_commenter=&field.subscriber=&field.structural_subscriber=&field.tag=pullrequest%20signedoff&field.tags_combinator=ALL&field.has_cve.used=&field.omit_dupes.used=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.affects_me.used=&field.has_patch.used=&field.has_branches.used=&field.has_branches=on&field.has_no_branches.used=&field.has_no_branches=on&field.has_blueprints.used=&field.has_blueprints=on&field.has_no_blueprints.used=&field.has_no_blueprints=on&orderby=-date_last_updated&start=0>.

*Primary Goal for Developers and Testers:* Test pullrequests. We will have
several test servers available that will have the latest updates to
Evergreen loaded, along with as many pullrequests (proposed patches) loaded
as possible. As pullrequests are tested and either signed off or pushed
back for further work, the test servers will be refreshed with more
pullrequests. A spreadsheet with the list of patches that are currently
loaded will be sent out on Monday morning. Sign off
<https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=dev:bug_squashing> on working
pullrequests, or add detailed feedback to the Launchpad ticket if the
pullrequests need additional work.

*Additional Goals for Testers: *

   - Review bugs with the "New" status
   <https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?field.searchtext=&orderby=-importance&search=Search&field.status%3Alist=NEW&field.status%3Alist=TRIAGED&assignee_option=any&field.assignee=&field.bug_reporter=&field.bug_commenter=&field.subscriber=&field.structural_subscriber=&field.tag=&field.tags_combinator=ANY&field.has_cve.used=&field.omit_dupes.used=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.affects_me.used=&field.has_patch.used=&field.has_branches.used=&field.has_branches=on&field.has_no_branches.used=&field.has_no_branches=on&field.has_blueprints.used=&field.has_blueprints=on&field.has_no_blueprints.used=&field.has_no_blueprints=on>:
Verify the reported problems and mark them confirmed, add tags
   <https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=dev:lp_tags> to make them
more discoverable, or mark duplicates if they had already been reported.
   - Test old bugs
   <https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?orderby=id&start=0> to see
if they are still valid. If they are, add feedback to confirm that they are
still valid in the Evergreen version you are working on. If they are no
longer valid, add feedback explaining as such and change the status to
   "Won't Fix."

More detailed information is available at:

If you are new to Feedback Fest / bug testing, feel free to contact me
directly at tmccanna at georgialibraries.org with questions. I'll be happy to
help walk you through the process so that you are more comfortable with it.

Cheers!
Terran
