[Evergreen-general] Evergreen and credit card vendors

We use PayPal, but had the account setup from prior to our migration to Evergreen. You can use it on the staff side with the desk payment, but the interface is lacking and we decided not to use it because it just asks for a credit card number and expiration month and year. It concerned us for the large margin of human that could occur. I know some people have gotten it to work with card readers, but I haven’t found one that worked for us.

Terran,

A couple of our libraries implemented Stripe. Does it work in the staff client or just the OPAC?

Hi Beth - We found PayPal's lack of customer service impossible to work with. Each of our member libraries that have implemented OPAC payments has done so with Stripe and it's been very straight forward. When we first looked some years ago, their fee structure was also the best, but we haven't looked recently.

Good morning,

I'm looking for tips/help in getting credit card processing set up for some of our libraries. We've successfully set up Payflow Pro for one library but are having troubles with Paypal for another library. Has anyone implemented Paypal? If so, I would welcome anything you learned from the process.

I also would like feedback on the other vendor solutions (AuthorizeNet, Stripe) in case one of the libraries wants to go that route.

Thanks in advance,
