The script /openils/bin/refresh_carousels.srfsh does exactly that. The
default example crontab entry for it is
5 3 * * * . ~/.bashrc && $EG_BIN_DIR/refresh_carousels.srfsh
Looks like a small documentation update wouldn't hurt.
