Hi Elizabeth - This is great news - not about the Austin folks (I'm sorry that things have gone so badly for them), it is fabulous that you folks are willing to do this.  I'll be more than happy to return to Athens & I'm sure many others will be too.

Members of the Interim Evergreen Governance Committee,


New developments on the Evergreen Conference this morning:

Our colleagues in Texas were having a hard time securing a venue in Austin and had some problems with local staff resources in working on the conference, so the Georgia Public Library Service/PINES has offered to bring it back to Georgia next year. We are proposing to host the conference in Athens (location of 2009 conference) or Atlanta. Equinox has expressed their support and are already actively working on checking April and early May dates with various conference centers and hotels.  We are delighted to have the opportunity to host the conference again. I hope that you all will find this to be a positive development.
