Heya Mike:
libdbi 0.8.2 worked perfectly for me on Gentoo, libdbi-drivers 0.8.2
ran into a documentation snag resolved as noted at
http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=installing_prerequisites_on_gentoo#installing_libdbi_and_libdbi-drivers
Basically, ./configure complained that there was no doc/Makefile.in
file, and configure.in included two files (doc/Makefile.in and
doc/include/Makefile.in) that didn't exist. Removing the offending
lines from configure.in allowed me to autogen.sh && configure with
success.
