Hi Dan,

The errors were indeed encountered prior to having the Evergreen server 
started. With the server started I can access the page you refer to:

http://ns2.sabinet.co.za/opac/extras/slimpac/start.html

Searching for anything results in an error.

Anyway, I am just happy that I got beyond the point where I was stuck 
with Debian. The current test/install was just a test to see if I can 
get beyond the point where I was stcuk with Debian. (its a crappy 
low-spec machine). Will re-do the installation with the 1.1 CVS and a 
bigger box and see how it pans out. Now is not a good time as I have had 
a few glasses of red wine :-)
