Thank you, Bill. That is good to know.

Patches are easy to integrate into ports on FreeBSD. (To integrate your 
own or another patch into a port, you just drop the patch into the files 
subdirectory of the port, and check that the patch at the top of the 
patch file is relative to the source directory where the code is 
extracted. They usually are.)

Since applying the patch requires reinstalling Jabberd2, I believe I'll 
just remove Jabberd2 and install Ejabberd instead. (Though, I'll grab 
that patch, just the same.)
