[OPEN-ILS-DEV] router@eg-server/opensrf.settings IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK!!!

I'm new to this and I'm trying to work through the prereqs for Ubuntu 7.04. I was going along at a pretty good clip until I got to this point - 
 
Finalize the OPAC
This command will create all the needed Javascript files to make the OPAC functional (must be run from /openils/bin):
sudo -u opensrf /openils/bin/autogen.sh ../conf/bootstrap.conf
When I run that command I get serveral messages like this -
Updating fieldmapper
Connection to Settings Failed    * ! EXCEPTION ! * 
TYPE: OpenSRF::EX::Session
Mess: Session Error 
Mess: router at eg-server/opensrf.settings IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK!!!

Any suggestions?
