[OPEN-ILS-DEV] Open-ILS && SuSE-Linux (or FreeBSD)

Hello,

I've stumbled over Open-ILS and I want to give it a try.
The Wiki- and web pages only speak about Debian and Ubuntu
Linux distributions, is there a way to compile the server from the
source for SuSE Linux or for FreeBSD? Any experience about this
or do I have to setup a Debian/Ubuntu in a virtual machine
here?
